Any time I’m craving pasta with tomato sauce I opt for this Barilla Veggie Penne – made with 25% puree from tomatoes and carrots.
In comparison to other Barilla products these Veggie pastas have more protein per serving (8g) than the original blue box pastas and the whole wheat pastas (7g).
You can’t even taste the difference between this pasta and the regular blue box pastas after you top your serving off with your favorite tomato sauce. I like to add green olives to mine also, along with some oregano, black pepper and thyme seasoning.
