Located in one of my favorite spots on Long Island, Port Jefferson, is a quaint, alternative eatery settled on East Main Street called Tiger Lily Cafe.
Established in 1998, Tiger Lily Cafe is, and has been, a vegetarian and vegan-friendly staple in the Port Jefferson community for close to two decades now. With irresistible offerings like their Sesame Tofu Wrap, fresh juices, Roasted Vegetable Wrap, Veggie Burger and Falafel Wrap (my personal favorite!) you’ll be hard-pinned to find anyone who can leave Tiger Lily Cafe unhappy or dissatisfied.
In addition to their great menu, they also offer deli-like offerings that you can purchase from them like pasta salads, tofu cutlets and veggie/starch mixtures.
Not to mention the sweets! I am a big fan of the vegan cookies they sell there from ThisChickbakes.com – you gotta go with the double chocolate chunk!
For those looking to go out with friends or family who are not vegan or vegetarian, Tiger Lily Cafe also has you covered on that front. Their menu features many items that would satisfy any omnivore or carnivore.
Make your way over to the Village of Port Jefferson to try the bliss of Tiger Lily Cafe for yourself, check them out on Facebook or browse their website to find out a little more about them. They also have a few tables set up outside the front of the restaurant (Great for people watching!) and a larger outdoor eating section situated on their balcony!!
